Students who intend to graduate in the two winter sessions in February and May may only take any remaining exams from the winter session of the previous academic year. This means that, in order to take exams for courses being held during this semester, they must enrol in the current academic year. Therefore, they cannot make use of the precautionary application. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final grade graduation<\/strong>According to Article 14 of the regulations, \u201c […] The final grade is determined starting from the average of the grades, expressed out of thirty and weighted according to credits, obtained in the teaching units whose exams require a numerical mark. Exams passed with 30 cum laude are counted as 31 when calculating the weighted average. This value, expressed out of 110 and rounded to two decimal places, may be increased according to the student\u2019s academic record by adding two points if the student graduates on time (during the third academic year after enrolment), or one point if the student graduates during the fourth year after enrolment.The Committee may then add to the average converted into a mark out of 110 a score relating to the assessment of the final examination; this score ranges from 0 to 11 points. The supervisor proposes an integer-point mark for the final examination: if the proposed mark is 10 or 11 points, as in the case of a request for honours, the supervisor must first ask the President of the Degree Programme Council to appoint a second examiner. The Committee decides the score by majority vote, after hearing the opinion of any second examiner. The final result is rounded to the nearest whole number (0.50 is rounded up to 1). Students who reach a score of 111 may be awarded honours, upon prior proposal by the supervisor, accepted by the second examiner appointed by the President of the Degree Programme Council, and by unanimous vote of the Committee. <\/em>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduation applications must be submitted in person<\/strong> to the Student Office of the School of Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
