Procedures for the allocation of type “F” credits (509/99 regulation) or type “D” credits (270/04 regulation)
- Courses (or seminars) specifically organized within the degree programme:
CFU credits (ECTS) are awarded by the course instructor, according to the criteria defined for the course (e.g. knowledge assessment, attendance, etc.). The number of CFU credits (ECTS) assigned is predetermined for each course. - Supplementary activities carried out within the University:
These are activities conducted under the direct supervision of a faculty member who, upon completion, requests the allocation of CFU credits (ECTS) by notifying the Student Office and the Academic Office of the degree programme. The maximum number of CFU credits (ECTS)that can be awarded must be agreed in advance with the instructor. - Internship periods carried out at external organizations: an agreement between the organization and the University is required. The internship requires the preliminary identification of a faculty supervisor, who evaluates the activities carried out during the internship period using the most appropriate methods to verify their educational value for the student. The number of CFUs (ECTS) that can be assigned is typically obtained by dividing the number of hours completed during the internship by a factor between 40 and 50. The allocation of CFUs (ETCS) is carried out by the professor through a communication to the Student Secretariat and the Departmental Teaching Office, also based on a statement from the organization regarding the duration of the internship and the activities performed during it.
- Recognition of previous experience:
Students must submit a request to the Academic Office of the degree programme, attaching any relevant documentation. The request will be evaluated by the Degree Programme Board for the possible allocation of CFU credits (ECTS). - Recognition of credits from previously passed exams as “Type F” credits:
This must be requested when submitting the study plan and may be approved by the Degree Programme Board at the time of its evaluation. - As part of the final exam: in this case, type “F” credits are allocated by the thesis supervisor for preliminary training activities related to the completion of the final exam itself. The allocation is carried out through a communication to the Student Secretariat and the Departmental Teaching Office. The maximum number of CFUs that can be assigned must be agreed upon in advance with the professor.
